2020 Nacra 15 Swiss Open World Championships, Pre Registration Welcomed…
We trust you are all well,
Although many countries are at differing stages of this COVID-19 situation, thankfully we are just starting to see some green shoots of activity as a start of our “new norm”.
In our collective adaption, your 2020 Nacra 15 Open World Championship organising team are working hard behind the scenes to ensure plans are in place to support our sailors and their supporters as best we can. We now open 2020 Nacra 15 Swiss World Championships Pre Event Registration.
For those exploring if travel from afar is possible, we do have an enhanced Charter Boat availability developing. If you think this is could be of help you then do drop us an email to: manager@nacra15class.com stating your requirement and we will link you directly with Nacra 15 Charter providers as their resource become confirmed.
Accommodation is also a key, advance consideration. With the kind co-ordination of SNG, recommended local Hotel accommodation is offering our Nacra 15 fleet discounted room rates with 100% refund cancelation terms to try help with the situation, please do check specifically with providers.
Whilst we fully understand that in these special times, some of you will not be able to join us as you would normally. With the continued plan to do everything possible to sensibly host the event, we trust, in doing so, it will give those who can join us motivation and something to work and look forwards to in a very challenging season.
For everyone’s benefit we’re welcoming early Pre Registration then allowing payment and entry confirmation by the 20th September 2020. This will help us all knowingly shape our regatta based on Pre-registration numbers and countries represented.
Naturally if we do get the green light to go-ahead, we will take all steps required to keep each other safe in-line with official guidance and common sense.
We will make a final call on whether the event can safely run, at the latest by September the 20th. This date is generously offered by our host club, Societe de Nautique Genève that latest cancellation is possible without serious financial implications. This gives us all time to understand better what is and isn’t possible in terms of sailing within COVID-19.
We want to assure you that we’re 100% behind making this World Championships a positive, memorable experience for all for all the right reasons. We are however, respectful and realistic that our health and well-being must take the priority therefore should it not be prudent to run the event then we are fully prepared to make that make that call, again latest by September 20th.
If adaption progress does continue in the right direction may I remind you all that currently, as part of the Nacra 15 European Super Series, The Belgian Youth Nationals 12th-13th September are still GO along with the final Super Series event of the year, 30th Oct- 1st November in Marseille at Club La Pelle, again at this point to be sailed under “New Norms” of social distancing.
