NACRA 15 2020 Event Upgrade!!!
Announcing the now, Nacra 15 Open World Championships, October 17th-23rd October 2020, Société Nautique de Genève in association with Yacht Club de Genève to be contested on the testing, beautiful waters of Lake Geneva.
After the deep disappointment and cancellation of our July, Medemblik Worlds, our Swiss hosts along with the Swiss Nacra 15 Class Association and RACES, have all agreed to take up the baton to deliver our eager Nacra 15 fleet a World Championships for 2020 upgrading the event from an originally planned Europeans.
The challenging lake conditions that Geneva has to offer along with the superb, second to non club and race management our hosts welcome us to, will very much set this event as one to remember.
Its proving to be a tough year, so with an optimistic outlook and to give us all something to look forwards to post lockdown, we’re very much looking to make the best of what we still have in the diary. We also aim to be optimistic that a good number of you can attend given the current COVID-19 situation and the pre-booked, end of season date. The aim also, is to allow us to stay safe with the best opportunity and motivation to race again in 2020…
If all goes to plan our Open Nacra 15 World Championships will be a great opportunity for leading Nacra 15 teams to pace themselves against each other after such a long period of sailing inactivity prior to the December World Sailing Youth World Championships currently scheduled for Salvador, Brazil. Who will have made the most of their lockdown adaption?…

Of course we will all need to adapt to given, developing COVID-19 guidelines. Be sensible when making your plans and ensure cancellation terms are fully understood, however we are very hopeful of a different, but still a fantastic championship.

Entries go live Monday, 27th April 2020. Pre registration is fully encouraged to help us organisers to plan accordingly, all is possible without advance payment.
